- Energy Partners GmbH, a company where the Greenvolt Group is a co-shareholder, partners with GLP Clean Energy to install 10 rooftop photovoltaic projects across Germany, totaling 23 MW.
- Projects will provide on-site solar energy to GLP tenants through Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), reducing electricity costs without requiring upfront investment.
- The agreement represents a key step in sustainable energy for logistics, with the first project, a 3.8 MW system in Mönchengladbach, set for completion by February 2025.
- The partnership reinforces Energy Partners GmbH’s leadership in the German market, supported by Greenvolt Group’s pan-European expansion in decentralized solutions across Europe.
Energy Partners GmbH, a subsidiary of MaxSolar GmbH based in Traunstein/Germany, and part of Greenvolt Group, a global leader in the renewable energy sector, signed an agreement with GLP Clean Energy to implement ten rooftop photovoltaic projects on logistics halls of the globally operating developer, owner, and operator of logistics properties throughout the year. The projects, distributed across Germany with a total capacity of approximately 23 megawatts, will be remunerated under the Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG). The first project will be completed by the end of February on a GLP logistics hall in Mönchengladbach, North Rhine-Westphalia.

Innovative Solution for Energy Supply in the Logistics Sector
The ten photovoltaic systems will be installed by Energy Partners GmbH on the roofs of GLP logistics centres in Germany. The first project, a 3.8-megawatt solar rooftop system on the GLP logistics centre in Mönchengladbach, will be completed in February 2025. The locally generated solar power will be made available to GLP tenants through Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) without requiring them to invest. The generated electricity will also be offered at a reduced price compared to the standard tariff.
“The imminent implementation of ten new photovoltaic projects in collaboration with GLP represents a significant success. We are particularly pleased that we were able to successfully realise the first PV project in Mönchengladbach in a very short time. If needed, storage and electric mobility solutions can also be retrofitted here”, says Matthias Giller, Managing Director of Energy Partners GmbH.
“PV rooftop systems are now among the most important features of modern logistics properties. Generating solar power on-site ideally solves the so-called energy trilemma: it is cost-effective, reduces our tenants’ electricity bills, and is sustainably profitable”, explains Stefano Fissolo, Senior Director of GLP Clean Energy.
The Pan-European platform of Greenvolt Group
The Greenvolt Group, a global reference in renewable energy solutions operating in 20 countries, plays a crucial role as a driving force behind these projects. In addition to its activities in sustainable biomass and utility-scale (with a 10.9 GW pipeline in Solar, Wind, and Storage), distributed energy generation is one of the Group’s key growth pillars. With over 450 MWp of signed capacity, more than 180 MWp installed, and a portfolio of over 2,500 projects, Greenvolt has established as a pan-European platform for corporate and industrial businesses, offering one-stop-shop self or collective consumption solutions, including for multinational and transnational companies, like GLP Europe.
“We have witnessed a growing demand for decentralized self-consumption energy solutions, including from companies operating in multiple countries, which see Greenvolt as a trusted partner due to our ability to deliver integrated solutions efficiently, backed by our experience in different markets”, says João Manso Neto, CEO of the Greenvolt Group.
“We are pleased that Energy Partners GmbH and GLP Europe have established this significant partnership in the German logistics sector, where we believe these solutions are particularly effective”, João Manso Neto added.
The collaboration between Energy Partners, GLP Europe, and the Greenvolt Group marks an important step towards sustainable and efficient energy supply in the logistics industry. The partners involved are focusing on the continuous development of these solutions in the industrial and commercial sectors to optimise energy supply in Germany and Europe.
